Since 2016, PEN America’s “Campus for All” workshop series has covered the basics of free speech and academic freedom on campus while equipping administrators, faculty, and staff to respond to a range of challenging scenarios. In this collaborative workshop, PEN America facilitators will share strategies for teaching free expression, which they have developed over hundreds of workshops for campus communities. These strategies will empower participants to return to their campuses with newfound comfort and confidence to be leaders in a “Campus for All.” Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences with integrating free expression education on their own campuses and will leave with PEN America tools and resources to support their efforts moving forward.
